Daily English Vocabulary - 3

Good Eve!

Today I have collected a good amount of words and surely they will come to use in your daily conversation. 

So, Stop worrying and Start using Vocabulary....

Defiancebehaviour in which you refuse to obey someone or something

Defiant behaviour

Example sentence:
The defiant child threw a tantrum when it was time to go to bed.
If one is defiant, he or she chooses to not follow the rules.

Deride to laugh at someone or something in a way that shows you think they are stupid or of no use

Example sentence:
The movie critic took every opportunity to deride the A-list actor for making the awful film.
Bullies are individuals who deride other people in order to feel superior.

Derogatory: conveying a poor opinion of something or someone



Example sentence:
The restaurant’s derogatory name caused people to avoid eating there.
When talking about his rival, the politician made a derogatory statement that became a trending topic on Twitter.

Entailimpose, involve, or imply as a necessary accompaniment or result

Success entails hard work..

Example sentence:
The holiday party for three hundred guests will entail a lot of work from the event planner.
Starting a restaurant would entail monetary sacrifices on my part.

Envisage: foresee; expect; visualize



Example sentence:
Nobody can envisage the consequences of total nuclear war.
He envisages an era of great scientific discoveries.

Fete: a public event, often held outside; honor or entertain (someone) lavishly


Example sentence:
she was an instant celebrity, feted by the media
Despite the bad weather the fete will go ahead.

Fling: throw or hurl forcefully

Example sentence:
